The timetable for the by-election is set in accordance with the Local Government Electoral Act 2011. The election period began following the publication of the notice of election.

• Notice of election – Tuesday 7 October 2025
• Close of electoral roll — Monday 13 October 2025
• Candidate nominations – Tuesday 7 October to 12pm on Thursday 16 October 2025
• Election day – Saturday 15 November 2025
• Postal vote completion deadline –Saturday 15 November 2025 at 6pm
• Postal vote return deadline – Tuesday 25 November 2025 at 5pm

This was a full postal election and voting materials were mailed to people enrolled to vote in this council area.

Postal voting materials were sent to voters' enrolled postal address after the ballot paper order draw on Thursday 16 October 2025.

You must have completed your vote by 6pm Saturday 15 November 2025.

The ECQ must have received it by 5pm Tuesday 25 November 2025 for your vote to be counted.

Nominations closed at 12pm on Thursday 16 October 2025.
