If you are unable to attend a polling booth to place your vote on election day or visit a pre-poll centre, you can apply for a postal vote. Postal vote applications for all Queensland local and state elections will be made available on this website during election times.
All applications must be received by the Commission by 7pm on the Wednesday prior to polling day. Completed ballot material must then be received by the Returning Officer by close of business on the 10th day after polling day.
If your ballot material is lost in transit or accidentally defaced or destroyed, you MUST apply for a replacement by completing a declaration form (PDF, 100.6 KB)
