Election Results for the 2004 State General Election

The Queensland State Election is on 7 February 2004.

Writ Details.

The Writ for the 51st Queensland General Election was issued 13 January 2004. The relevant dates are:

Timetable of key events

  • Writ: 13 January
  • Roll close: 19 January 5pm
  • Nominations close: 20 January 12 noon
  • How To Vote card lodgement: 30 January 5pm
  • Polling Day: 7 February
  • Return of Writ: 8 March

Polling Booth Details

Polling booth report for all 89 Districts. Remember, if you are travelling in Queensland on polling day, you can have an absent vote at any polling booth.  Polling booths will be open from 8am to 6pm only.

If you don’t think that you can get to a polling booth on polling day, you may be eligible for a pre-poll in person vote or a postal vote or an electoral visit vote

Returning Officers 

Returning Officers conduct the election in each State District and their address and fax contact details are at ROs List

Easyguide 

During the next three weeks, we will write to each elector on the roll to send an easyguide to the election and to confirm your enrolled District. 

We encourage you to bring this letter with you when you come to vote.

Voters Helpline

 If you need to talk to us about any details of the election, please call 1300 881 665 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday or 8am to 6pm Saturday.  Interpreter Services are available by calling 13 14 50.

You can check your enrolment to be sure that your are entitled to vote.
