Maps and reviews

A review process, detailed in the Electoral Act 1992, determines the boundaries for Queensland’s 89 electoral districts. The reviews include the production of outline maps, which support descriptions of proposed and final outcomes.

The Queensland Redistribution Commission is responsible for making changes to the boundaries of the State’s electoral districts. This process is called a redistribution.

In a similar way, the Local Government Electoral and Boundaries Review Commission is responsible for boundary changes for local government electoral areas. This process is called a review.

This section contains outline information on the State redistribution and local government review process as well as details of current and past activities. For further information, please contact the Commission.

See Boundaries, district maps and profiles for more information on your electoral district. If you are not sure of the electoral district you are enrolled for see Check your enrolment.
